What the quote form collects, why, where it is kept and for how long.

Who collects it
Nelson Paint & Panel Ltd, Unit 10, 150 Vanguard Street, Nelson 7010 (“the business”). This notice is given under the Privacy Act 2020.
What the quote form collects
Only what is entered into the form:
- name and phone number (required), and email address (optional);
- vehicle details: registration, make and model;
- for insurance work, the insurance company and claim number;
- for fleet work, the company name and other registrations;
- the damage description and any photos attached.
Why
To prepare and reply to the quote request, and to carry out any work that follows. The information is not used for marketing, not added to a mailing list, and not sold or passed to anyone else.
Where it goes and how long it is kept
A submitted request is emailed to the business’s inbox. A copy, including the photos, is also stored with Cloudflare, the company that hosts this website, so that a request is not lost if an email fails. Cloudflare may store it outside New Zealand. That stored copy is deleted automatically after 180 days. The emailed copy stays in the business’s email for as long as it is needed for the job and its records.
Other services the pages use
The site is served by Cloudflare. The text font is loaded from Google Fonts, and the map on the home and contact pages is drawn from OpenStreetMap. Loading a page sends the visitor’s IP address to these services, as with any website. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts.
Seeing or correcting information
Anyone may ask to see the personal information the business holds about them, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by phoning 03 545 7014 or emailing nnpaintandpanel@xtra.co.nz. Concerns that are not resolved can be raised with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
